Cinematic and freestyle FPV flying. Flights on YouTube and Instagram; here are the rules, brands and notes behind them.

Hobby pilot

Cinematic & freestyle FPV

Smooth cinematic lines and freestyle, flown for the joy of it and posted on YouTube and Instagram. This site collects what sits behind the footage: the EU rules every hobby pilot needs, the brands I recommend, and soon notes on settings, builds and the week in FPV.

Start here

Fly FPV legally in the EU

Goggles change the rules: in the EU’s open category an FPV flight needs a spotter beside you. The guide covers operator registration, the A1/A3 certificate, where a home-built quad may fly, insurance and the national details for Slovakia, each checked against EASA and the national authority.

What this site covers

  • EU rules for hobby pilots: registration, pilot certificate, goggles and spotters, geographical zones.
  • Cinematic settings: rates, camera angle, shutter and ND filters, stabilisation (coming soon).
  • Builds and brands: the frames, motors and flight controllers I recommend.
  • The week in FPV: a short weekly roundup of firmware, gear and rule changes that matter in Europe (coming soon).

Brands I recommend

The parts I trust for cinematic and freestyle quads. Links go to each maker’s own site.
